Figuring out how to love each other while apart has it’s challenges. My husband, Chico, is a band tour manager and is gone quite a lot, but when he’s home it seems as though we never stop laughing.

We were married in June of 2011 on the perfect Chicago day – then took off to St. Maarten to enjoy a week in the sun. Almost immediately, it seemed, after we got back from our honeymoon Chico left for a three week tour. As he took off for an overseas adventure, I took on the task of turning our new house into a home. As I unpacked boxes, loose guitar picks and bobby pins littered their cardboard linings. By the end of it I had quite the collection.

So from our late night, post show phone calls to our Sunday afternoon bike rides to get ice cream – this is a way for us to not only share our experiences while we’re apart, but it’s also a way for us to document our adventures when we’re together. Hope you enjoy the ride!
